Overclocking

As usual, to maximise our overclocking headroom, we set the voltage offset, power limit, and temperature target to their maximum values: +100mV, 150 percent, and 85°C respectively.

With these settings, we managed to add 50MHz to the core boost speed, which took it to 1,626MHz – a three percent increase. It seems there isn’t much headroom available on the RX 590 GPU, as this is similar to what we saw from XFX.

The GDDR5 memory was fine running at 9Gbps (12.5 percent increase), and this is the maximum speed you can set it to.
